How to avoid winter weight gain
Did you know that regardless of what dietary supplement people take -such as Acai berry, Maqui berry or Gynexin — most people put on weight during the winter time? Are you one of those that those that unnecessary pack the weight on during the cold months? Do you know why this is? Well actually there are a few things that can cause this unwanted weight gain. However, there are thing that you can do to help lessen your likelihood of expanding your waist.
Some weight loss experts blame this on what they call “winter boredom”. Usually due to bad weather conditions or shorter daylight hours, people
tend to slow stop or cut back on their physical activities during the cold months; especially the outdoor ones.
Lifestyle studies have shown that boredom can creep in when people reduce their activities. These same studies have shown evidence that boredom may cause some people to eat more food and snacks more regularly.
Unfortunately most of today’s snack food is not only bad for your health but can be disastrous for you waist line. So! If you are a “boredom snacker” then you should be watchful and make sure your snacks are healthy or at least low carb.
Some scientist claims that gaining weight during the winter months has some thing to do with our pre-historic cousins and that ancestral blood line may have had to increase their body fat just to get through the winter months. In turn this same survival factor created a need for extra fat which of course was gained by increased eating. Today this action would be called “rapidly pilling up on the calories”.
Should this theory be true, what can you do to go against your ancestral instincts and maintain your figure all year round? Well! Remember you live in a less hostile and warmer environment than our pre-historic cousins and the local grocery store is probably only a distance away, so it is no longer necessary to devour everything an anything within sight to stay alive.
But what about physical activities like exercise, during the freezing winter months. Let’s face it; you know darn well it’s much easier to come home from work and curl up in front of the TV to catch-up with some of your favourite some shows.
Well, that’s not going to help you stay trim. So! No matter what else you do: winter or summer, you have to get some physical exercise.
So there you have it, if you are asking your self how to get rid of man boobs or how to lose your muffin tops during the cold weather the answer is just the same as if it was summer: eat less carbohydrates and keep-up the exercise.
If the weather is to bad to go outside and walk, use the stairs in your office building. Go to the gym for lunch instead of to the cafeteria. Do what ever you to do to help speed up your metabolism to burn those extra calories.
As you can see there are many things that can cause you to jump up to 2 pants size larger during the winter months. However, if you take some of the steps mentioned above it will help control your winter weight gain and make it easier than looking for a range of diets for quick weigt loss when the warmer months roll around.
