If you’re jetting off to the sun, you’ll want to make sure both your preparation on the lead up to your departure and the departure itself runs as smoothly as possible. However, with the inevitable rush that comes with making sure that you have all the necessary clothes, toiletries and proper paperwork for your trip, have you ever stopped to think about how you’ll make the trip to the airport?
For most people, it’s a simple matter of taking the car and driving there; but with flight times not always convenient, this course of action could involve a long drive to the airport in the early hours of the morning, leaving you and your entourage feeling tired and jaded even before the luggage is unloaded from the boot of the car. Airport hotels, on the other hand, can sometimes offer secured parking as an inclusive part of the price of your room booking, which could save on both your sanity and your wallet. And even if your chosen hotel doesn’t offer its own parking facilities, it may offer a reduced rate on the cost of onsite airport parking, so it’s well worth inquiring when you book. What’s more, many airport hotels are situated in close proximity to the airport’s terminal building and many also offer a courtesy shuttle bus to ferry you and your luggage from the hotel to the terminal; so you won’t even have to worry about carrying heavy bags too far, or the cost of a taxi.
Even if you’re flight isn’t due to leave until later in the morning, you can still make use of an airport hotel by spending the night as before, but having the added benefit of enjoying an unhurried breakfast in the morning, rather than forking out for expensive and unsatisfying sandwiches in the airport departure lounge.
With all the excitement and anticipation surrounding a holiday, it’s understandable that no-one wants to begin their holiday feeling tired and irritable. That’s why an overnight stay in an airport hotel makes perfect sense to ensuring your holiday starts as it is meant to continue – as a time for rest and relaxation, rather than rage.
