Amarnath Caves are very devout and are hot destinations for pilgrims and tourists. Every year, the yatra is open during the summer season usually between May and November. The Amarnath yatra season for 2013 is about to begin. It is time that you get yourself registered for the trip. Flanked by Himalayas and trekking into the true abode of Shiva, it will be a journey for a lifetime.

If you are still skeptical about the trip, then here are 7 reasons why you should go for it:

i. Spiritual holiday: You may have gone for a beachside holiday or a hillside vacation on myriad occasions. But have you ever headed for a spiritual holiday? Have your kids ever got exposed to these soulful destinations of religion & culture? If no, then 2013 can be the year when you can finally let yourself and your children savor the ecstasies of a divine journey.

ii. A rendezvous with Lord Shiva: Amarnath is a place which is the true haunt of Lord Shiva. You may not believe in mythological tales and you may not find a scientific evidence for the same. But if you are a religious person or if you believe in the existence of God, then this trip is your ultimate call from divinity! And in case you are an atheist, then this one single trip would change your views and your life for the better!

iii. Experience of a helicopter ride: In our metro cities, we never get a chance to experience a helicopter ride. The yatra can be a great excuse to savor the thrills of a helicopter ride since the high altitudes are usually negotiated through these flying machines. Even your kids would love the excitement such a ride promises. Pilgrims are required to register for Amarnath yatra 2013 by helicopter well in advance.

iv. To feast on the natural beauty: The state of Jammu & Kashmir is a treasure house of innumerable natural locales, hills, mountains, valleys and glaciers. Right from the Dal Lake to the Shalimar Bagh, the state has everything to delight your eyes. Amarnath Yatra can be a great excuse to do some sightseeing at cities like Srinagar, Gulmarg, etc. So, do not miss out on this trip this year.

v. To view the historic caves: The Amarnath caves date back to thousands of years. This trip will open your eyes to a new corner which is hidden from the daylight and is a piece of immense history & heritage.

vi. To wash away your sins: By visiting this divine place, you can wash away some of your sins and come back pure and chaste.

vii. To make a wish: Pilgrims also visit the Amarnath shrine to pray for a ‘mannat’ before the large-hearted Shiva. So, if there is any wish you want to be fulfilled, then do take this yatra this year.
