Customer Events – A Great Shopping Experience

As we enter the autumn/winter season and start to head towards Christmas there is more and more pressure to get it right for the festive period. What to wear for the big day? What to buy Aunty Mae? What to serve for Christmas dinner? The stress of this time of year can really get on top of you and if you are not careful you can find yourself worrying unnescessarily.

One great way of finding out what is on offer at the shops as well as treating yourself to a pleasant night or afternoon out is to go to one of the many customer events that are held by retail outlets all over the country. They give you time to look round the shop when there are fewer shoppers around and often have special incentives to take advantage of should you find something that you want to buy.

Quite often a customer event is limited to people who have shopped at the retail outlet before – a good way to get on that invite list is to sign up at a website, join a loyalty scheme, or even enter a competition. that way the company will know that you are interested in their products and that invites will start flooding in.

Most events, especially those around the Christmas period start with a glass of wine and some canapes to get you relaxed and in the mood for shopping. There are often goodie bags on offer or free gifts when you make a purchase at this kind of event. Some clothes retailers will put on a fashion show to display exactly what they have on offer – this is often really helpful if you are buying for someone else as you get to see the outfit on a real person which gives you an idea how it will look. After the show there is the chance to shop until you drop!

Customer events are an excellent opportunity to browse the shops in relative peace – there is less pressure. There is no fighting through the crowds to get to something you think you might want to buy, you don’t have to hang onto items that you think you might want to buy (normally in the Christmas period letting an object out of your site for a second can result in someone else running off with it!) and there is plenty of time to consider your purchases ensuring that you are more likely to buy the right thing rather than something just for the sake of it.

And what about that all important Christmas outfit? A customer event give you the ideal opportunity to try out several options without having to queue for hours for the changing room.
